OC Tourist Spot Named One Of CA’s Most Instagrammable Emily Rahhal %%item_date%% %%item_source%%
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — From vast open spaces to California’s crowded tourist hotspots, social media users posted tens of millions of Instagram photos from famous Golden State locations this year.
Orange County’s famed hot spot Disneyland made the top 10 list with 2.46 million hashtag uses on Instagram.
A study conducted by Family Destinations Guide found that Yosemite National Park reached the summit as the most Instagrammable California destination, with more than 4.8 million hashtag uses on the platform.

Coming in a close second was Venice Beach in Los Angeles, with more than 4.4 million hashtags used.
“For many, social media is an important factor when it comes to picking a vacation destination,” a spokesperson for Family Destinations Guide said. “This study offers a fascinating insight into the tourist spots in California that prove to be the most popular for social media users and it will be interesting to see if this ranking changes in 2023.”

Tourists also flocked to the Golden Gate Bridge, which took the No. 3 spot with 4.3 million posts. Lake Tahoe took the No. 4 spot with 2.81 million hashtags. San Francisco tourist spot Alcatraz Island, former home to a military prison and maximum security penitentiary, locked in the No. 9 spot with just over 1.25 million hashtag uses.
Moving farther down the coast, the Big Sur coastline, known for its gorgeous views and camping, pitched its tent at the No. 6 spot with 1.48 million tags. To the east, Death Valley was baked into the top 10 with 1.3 million tags.
Just outside of Los Angeles County, Disneyland Park also made the top 10 list with 2.46 million.
