Authorities said the driver did not render aid to the victim and fled the scene going southbound on 1700 Catalina Boulevard. First responders quickly transported the boy to a nearby hospital for a serious pelvic injury. Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, the San Diego traffic division is asking anyone with further information about the Catalina Boulevard hit-and-run to contact 858-495-7800.
